EC Network A/S (ECNet) is a leading Danish research, consulting and communication company in the field of sustainable energy, established in 2000. The mission of EC Network is to make a professional contribution to the dissemination of sustainable energy and environmental systems. The Company has been involved in numerous technical assistance projects in Europe and Asia as well as a significant number of EU research and promotion projects.
The core areas for EC Network encompass:
- Strategy, policy and management in general within the overall energy sector
- Training and capacity building
- Strategic energy planning
- Renewable Energy
- District Heating and Combined Heat and Power
- Energy projects at end-users (buildings, businesses and industries)
- Communication strategies and activities, including awareness raising campaigns
EC Network is responsible for a successful implementation of the European Enterprises’Climate Cup in Denmark, including ensuring an effective cooperation with Danish multipliers and that particular Danish conditions are met within the Campaign set-up.
ECNet has been involved in numerous projects aiming at planning, analysing and implementing energy efficiency measures in buildings, as well as several projects aiming at heightening awareness of energy efficiency measures at various target groups. ECNet was partner in the IEE project “European Citizens Climate Cup” aiming at promoting energy savings in households through national and European energy savings competitions in 10 European regions. From 2014 ECNet is a.o. involved in the IEE YEFF project (a campaign for Young Energy Efficiency) targeting energy behaviour of young adults aged 18 to 29 years aiming at communi¬cating energy saving measures and energy efficiency in a practical, fun, and fashionable way.
It is also worth mentioning that ECNet is involved in EU major initiatives like the Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign and ManagEnergy. From 2012-2015 ECNet is in charge of planning and implementing 45 EU ManagEnergy capacity building workshops on local sustainable development around Europe. Further ECNet is assisting on maintaining and updating the ManagEnergy web portal.
