Projects in Motion

PiM undertakes European Union (EU) funded projects and conducts research for European and local government bodies, major companies and SMEs. Our objectives in the renewable energies sector are to increase the knowledge of the need for sustainable development; participating or managing in collaborative projects with distributed resources which cover a broad range of innovative issues related to renewables through transnational cooperation or directed towards capacity building for R&D and policy; and maximising the benefits arising from EU Community initiatives and Programmes for manufacturing and service industries, local authorities, development agencies, community groups and all other relevant players in the Region.

Our Role in EECC

Projects in Motion is the Maltese partner and national contact point for the “European Enterprises Climate Cup” project. PiM is leading the “Evaluation of the EECC and Best Practices” work package. The objectives of this work package are to measure and evaluate the influence of the EECC campaign on SMEs to perform energy saving measures in participating countries. The aim is to maximise the campaigns' fit to SMEs as well as to key actors like energy and SME networks as multipliers for the long-term establishment of the EECC. Best practice of campaign activities of the EECC identified will be disseminated among partners and partner countries during the project and documented in a final publication. A roll-out plan will demonstrate ways to establish the EECC in long-term.
